More Activities

Fishing:

The "front yard" is a great point for fishing inshore. Deep-sea fishing is available but not included in the weekly package! Fishing all year round. Primetime is NOV to APRIL

  • Bottom Fishing Inshore

Inshore bottom fishing yields a wide array of great catches for fishermen who’d prefer to do their angling from land or from small boats in sheltered waters, including bays, lagoons and inlets. Reports that inshore fishermen can hook a variety of species, including curvina, snook, true red snapper (known locally as huachinango), grouper, sea bass, sierra, mixed jacks, mojarra, pompano, roosterfish, and triggerfish.

  • Deep-Sea Fishing

Services that can be provided with a day in the advance call.

Offshore runs typically last 6 to 12 hours and venture 20 to 25 miles from the port. In addition to the billfish — marlin, sailfish, and swordfish — these deeper waters are home to several other species of game fish, including dorado (also known as dolphin fish or mahi-mahi), mako shark, wahoo and yellowfin tuna.

  • Catch and Release

Although not yet mandated by law, local authorities strongly support catch-and-release fishing — particularly for billfish — as an important tool in preserving the health of local fisheries. Under a program established by the Billfish Foundation in 1995 and endorsed by most deep-sea fishing vessel operators in Mazatlan, sport fishermen are encouraged to tag and release the marlin, sailfish, and swordfish they catch. The program’s goal is to ensure these game fish species will be available for the sport fishermen of tomorrow.

Hiking:

What’s proximity to the Meseta Cacaxtla nature reserve, the natural terrain walking is an activity that can be given. Trails are opened and clean for the activity.

Bird Watching:

The state of Sinaloa is known as the “Pearl of the Pacific”. There are over 300 of migratory bird species that pass through the state of Sinaloa every year because of Sinaloa's wetlands, islands, estuaries, and mangroves and it's geographical location on the Pacific Migratory corridor.

Massage, Manicure/Pedicure:

Services that can be provided with a day in the advance call. All professional comes from the Dimas or La Cruz community.

Things to do in the city/nearby:

Afternoon trip to Las Labradas:

The Las Labradas Archaeological Zone is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, in Northwestern Mexico, With an area of 17 hectares, 57 areas and 58,031 centiares, the Las Labradas Archaeological Zone is the site with the highest concentration of existing engraved stone drawings in the country, and the only site in the world of its kind that is located within a coastal tide zone

THE SURF

Located where the Pacific meets the Gulf of California, a world-class wave PATOLE is formed by a 90-degree elbow in the coast that is angled perfectly to wrap south swell into long, zippy left-handers.

Summer normally yields the biggest waves, while from mid-November through mid-March, the waves are mild except during tide change cycles when they can get pretty big.

More often than not when there is South in the water, in a 30 min driving range the Sinaloa coast provides a variety of ridiculously fun range waves, though it can pump, and this includes fun barrels, on the biggest swells.

Typically off-shore winds in the morning that last until early afternoon.
